Eklavya, is a unique and revolutionary science course that implements our QueST model of education by telling one single story that starts with mankind’s quest to make sense of this world from the time they came on this planet. As the course unfolds all the science subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Geology are covered in detail, including the formal scientific concepts, that the kids are taught at schools.
Batch size: One class will typically have around 7-8 kids
Session Duration & Frequency: Around 2.0 hours once a week.
Total No. of Sessions: Around 65.
Age bracket: Kids aged (typically) 10 years and above
We also do a demo class for free so that parents can appreciate the unique model of science teaching under Eklavya. Please contact us for the same.
The entire Science education under Eklavya is structured around Questions (Curiosity), Stories (Interconnections) and Theories (Independent Thinking & Empathy) to impart knowledge of basic sciences to kids in a way that the kids are ready for the fast paced future that is unfolding.
Interest in Science: The story led format ensures that kids start developing an inherent interest in Science as it helps create imaginations of various scientific concepts needed to make sense. This works wonders for their curiosity.
Interconnections between subjects/concepts: All the concepts across the subjects and within subjects are presented in an interconnected fashion. A key strength of Eklavya is that each previous class drives the next class. This not only helps kids make sense of this world in totality (and not in bits and pieces) but also triggers their curiosity in a way that they learn to use it to create solutions.
Independent Thinking & Empathy: Since all scientific concepts in this course take birth only when required, it helps kids grasp the scientific concepts from the viewpoint of their applicability. This helps kids develop a deep conceptual clarity w.r.t. various scientific concepts. Also, as kids through their own independent thinking participate in natural creation and death of theories, they naturally develop an empathetic mindset to various viewpoints.
